Security Warning : Avoid Internet Explorer for Now

Lifehacker is reporting that security experts advise you not use Internet Explorer for now.

We see warnings like this all too often. My recommendation: if you haven’t made Firefox (or Chrome or Safari) your default browser, you should really consider doing so. I know some of you are in corporate environments where you have no choice. But, for those who have a choice, this is a good time to make sure you are protecting yourself.

On a separate matter, I am really feeling like crap. Coming down with some sort of bug. So, I am closing up shop for a few days while I fight the virus beastie. Hope to “see you” again in a few days.

This evening Lifehacker reports on a temporary and scheduled permanent fix for the IE problem.

Thanks for the heads-up on I.E. Bruce.

I hope your virus passes quickly. Stay warm, conserve your energy, eat light and drink plenty of fluids. I have found that illnesses like that often provide an opportunity for deeper personal introspection. At the very least, it might be a good time to put your feet up and watch some good films :-)

Thank you for the well wishes and advice, John. I shall follow the advice … I’m hosting the family Christmas dinner this weekend, so I have to get better soon.
