Quote of the Week:

About

Bruce Keener Welcome to Keener Living. My name is Bruce Keener, a 60 year-old retiree who enjoys sharing what I’ve learned over the years (and what I continue to learn). I also enjoy hearing and learning from you.

In my 32 years as a business professional, I learned a lot about productivity and leadership, what counts and what doesn’t. And, even before I earned BSEE and MSEE degrees from Georgia Tech over 32 years ago, I have loved technology. So I write about these things. Unfortunately, a lot of today’s technology is really boring … but there is occasionally some good stuff to talk about.

In addition to these topics, I sometimes write thought pieces. These are intended to help you look at things differently. That’s one of the best ways to learn something new, and I am a strong believer that we should all be life-long learners.

I very much want you to share your tips and suggestions. You can so by commenting on articles or you can send me an email. If you are good at writing and would like to guest blog at Keener Living, feel free to contact me. Technology and mobile expert Lance Gallup has written some excellent articles here, and Thomas R Hall has also written a great post. Both frequently provide very useful and practical insights in the comments sections of posts.

A little more about me:

  • I am a widower with two children, 7 grandchildren, and a greatgrandchild. My search for meaning after my wife passed away is discussed on this Big Picture page. It is a bit dated, but may be of interest to some of you.
  • My best friends, and my “little boys,” are my dogs, Booger and Bouncer.
  • I enjoy playing fingerstyle guitar. A number of my free “just setting around playing” recordings are available on this page.
  • In addition to technology and personal development, I have a layman’s interest in physics, cosmology, biology, psychology, and entrepreneurship.

If you enjoy my material and would like to show your appreciation, you can make a donation or surprise me with something from my Amazon Wish List.
Thank you. Enjoy!

Thank you,
Bruce Keener
