President-elect Obama is creating a cabinet level position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and rumors abound as to who could be selected for it.
The two names that seem to be floated the most are Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Amazon President and CEO Jeff Bezos. Google Chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt has apparently indicated that he is not interested in the position.
Who would you like to see in this position? I personally think Bezos would be a great choice … he is one of the two CEOs I most admire, and is a technological innovator extraordinaire. His deep understanding and visionary shaping of web technology would be a huge asset.
