In reading Prisoners of Our Thoughts, the following quote caught my attention:
“It is more important to be aware than it is to be smart.”
What are your thoughts on this?
As for me, it has reminded me of the value of mindfulness, and has finally convinced me to put it on to my to-do list.
On a separate topic, Paul Stamatiou has written another Back To College Shopping Guide, this one being the “off-campus edition.” As with his guide from last year, this one has lots of useful info for everyone, not just for students.
While Paul has talked before about his use of popular online project management tools, such as Basecamp and LiquidPlanner, he uses pen and paper for his to-do list.
I use Remember The Milk, synced with the Appigo Todo list on my iPod Touch, to keep my full list of tasks and projects (including someday and maybe items), but use a pen and paper list for what I am really focusing on.
What do you use for your to-do lists? Is it effective for you? If you’re not using pen and paper for your current tasks, do you think maybe you should?

After trying Backpack (and for the record, it worked best as a homepage, otherwise I’d get distracted), I reverted to pen and paper. A simple printed calendar gives me room to change and adapt. Plus, there’s something about writing an item in my own hand that makes me feel a greater commitment to it.
Sara, I appreciate the comment. Thank you for stopping by. I like your site.
