This is Not the Post I Wanted to Write

Over the weekend I began drafting a post on tagging tasks using both GTD contexts and Covey Roles. I had planned to finish it up and post it today. But, yesterday afternoon I learned that a lady I had worked with for 25 years passed away from a stroke. Now I am just too bummed out to finish my draft article. Maybe tomorrow.

JoAnn was healthier than me, which makes me wonder how many clicks are left on my inner clock. She was always fun to be around. And I loved that she always said what was on her mind. I detest phony people, but there was absolutely nothing phony about her. She was genuine. She had a contagious laugh. She was a good person.

When I retired she told me she hoped to be only a few years behind me. She never got to see retirement, although she deserved a great one.

Rest in peace, JoAnn. Maybe I’ll see you again someday.

    A worthy epitaph.
