Steve Jobs Keynote Leak?

Steve Rubel is reporting on a possible leak of His Steveness’ Keynote speech for tomorrow’s huge Expo event.

If this is true, it is huge. I read the supposed leak, and it sure looks authentic enough, but there is no way to be sure until tomorrow or unless there is a flat denial from the man himself.

Also, if true, some of the previously rumored news appears to be true: an open SDK for the iPhone, a 16GB iPhone, thinner and smaller Macbooks. All good stuff. Really good stuff.

Anyway, I normally do not spread rumors. All too often, they turn out to be wrong. But this one sounds pretty legit.

One final thought: this also shows the power of Twitter as a communication vehicle.

Update: Erick Schonfeld of TechCrunch pretty much debunks this “leak,” and raises some good points in the debunking. And, capo, you raise a good point in the comments about an “eject button” … yeah, that’ll be the day. Well, I should have suspected that there would be no actual leak, but got caught up in the excitement of what could happen at the Expo. Guess we’ll all see tomorrow. Interesting speculation for Apple fans, though. Debunking does allow me to still hold a little bit of hope that we’ll see the arrival of an Apple PDA, some have pegged as the iNewton, but that hope is slim … most rumor-makers are saying the device is in the works but just not ready yet.

I guess we’ll know tomorrow, eh? Most of it looked pretty plausible, but one item set off alarm bells for me – a DVD tray that ejects with a button? On a Mac??

Good catch on the button, capo. That along with the TechCrunch article make me rethink that this “leak” is just made-up-stuff. Not too long before we find out what tomorrow does hold, though.
