Many years ago, the legendary guitarists Chet Atkins and Les Paul recorded some tunes together, one of them being After You’ve Gone. They did beautiful harmony on it, mostly single-string, with a few finger rolls from Chet in parts. They were accompanied by, I believe, the lovely and talented Anita Kerr Singers.
I never really thought about playing the tune, until I received a Paul Yandell DVD on which he played this beautiful tune, fingerstyle. I like the way Paul did it so much that it inspired me to learn the tune myself. So here is my recording of After You’ve Gone.
I hope you enjoy it.
