Productivity News Update 29 May 2008

Here are some productivity and/or self-improvement articles I believe you will enjoy:

  • Using Home Management Notebooks
SimpleMom has an excellent writeup on how mom’s can better organize their hectic lives with some simple notebooks and planning sheets. She includes a free PDF download of a worksheet she uses, and it is something all of you may find of interest: even if you’re not a mom, you may want to create a similar list that is tailored to your needs.
  • How to Read a Business Book
Seth Godin has great advice for reading business books, including: commit to change 3 things based on what you learn, and look for 3 things in the book. He’s right that we sometimes let some real gems slip away because we do not carefully pick out key advice that we will use.
  • Using Meditation to Battle ADHD
A good writeup by The Huffington Post on how meditation might help those who have ADHD.
  • Al Gore’s speechwriter’s advice for writing presentations
Tim Ferriss’ blog has a worthy read on how to write good presentations.
  • Seesmic: Why it’s so important to just frackin’ start
Leave it to Calacanis to come up with a title that grabs your attention, eh? He makes some good points about starting a company (or any major activity), with the bottom line being: move forward and don’t plan yourself to death.
