One Class Act

A lot of you probably read 37signals, so you may have already seen their post talking about their 2-hour outage today. But, just in case you haven’t seen it or in case you skimmed it too quickly, let me draw your attention to a paragraph from their post:

“While we don’t have a formal service-level agreement (SLA), we still want to compensate anyone who felt they were negatively affected in their work because of this outage. Please write [...] and we’ll get that taken care of.”

(The [...] is my “whiting out” their email address, to keep spammers from sponging it up.)

Their statement shows class. It tempts me to sign up for their BackPack service, even though I have no real need for it. (If I were going back in business full-time, I would probably get BackPack and/or their BaseCamp product … I have heard nothing but praise for their products and support.)

Anyway, I thought this was pretty cool of them and I just wanted to share it with you.
