For readers who use paper planners, you may be interested to know that you can get great Getting Things Done and FranklinCovey style planning templates (PDF format) from DIYPlanner. All you have to do is select the size paper you want, and download the corresponding templates, and then print out as many pages as you like.
My own view is that you get better quality this way, too, not just cheaper (the only cost is the cost of printing it out). One of the things that frustrated me with paper planners is the low quality of the paper that comes with the planners: so thin that many pens bleed through to the other side. When you print out on regular printer paper (laser or dot matrix), you get much higher quality as such paper is generally a higher stock than what is available for planners.
