Managing Your Mind

One of the things I got from my recent reading of David Allen’s Making It All Work is his statement that GTD is more about managing your mind than managing your time.

I think that sums it up really well. Getting everything out of your mind, so you can use your mind, is what GTD is really good at. From doing a periodic mind sweep to religiously using capture tools, keeping your head free of your lists frees it up to focus on what you have decided to do.

Perhaps that’s obvious to you. But, if you haven’t realized it … more importantly, if you haven’t benefited from it, then I hope my sharing it with you will do you some good.
