Making Excuses versus Making Way

All too often I hear

I’m too old to do that … I can’t take that kind of chance … Yes, but that takes genius, and I’m no genius …

Sometimes I hear words like these coming from my own mouth. But, every once in a while I am fortunate to be reminded that we can generally do what we set our minds to do, even in the face of extraordinary obstacles. My most recent such reminder was this YouTube of Ioana Gandrabur, a lady blind since birth, flawlessly playing a complicated classical piece:

If you are telling yourself that you don’t have it within you to do something that you would like to do, watch Ioana and think about this quote from Henry Ford:

Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.
