After my recent whining about not feeling inspired, I began thinking about people I have known who have inspired me the most over the years. In doing this, I realized that several of those I admired have strong military backgrounds: a couple of Admirals, several Captains, a few Corporals.
As I thought more about this, I realized that the traits I admired most in these people were their integrity and strong moral compass, their excellent decision-making skills, and how well they listened to people. In turn, this made me recall an Army Leadership Manual that I came across online … I think I first became aware of it about six months or so ago.
Anyway, it turns out that this field manual is a very practical leadership guide. As I have been reading through it, it occurred to me that you might find it of interest, too.
Near the beginning of this manual is a graphic that I decided to copy and turn into wallpaper for my iMac:
Of course this is a reduced-size image, and the full-size one is 1680×1050 pixels. If you would like a copy of it, you can download it here. It is a good privilege to see your wonderful work in this sight. I personally happy in the manual and well researched paper in such easy way.
