First Impressions of T-Mobile Dash

What an incredible Smartphone !!!

This was a risk for me: I’ve always been such a fan of touch-screen devices that I feared I might not be happy with a device that does not use touch-screen input. But, fortunately, I was wrong, as I have already grown accustomed whizzing my way around on the phone using the keyboard.

I’ve been thinking of getting a new phone for a while, and was reflecting on how well I liked the Treo 700w and its Palm predecessor (Treo 650) when I had them. But, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the market is increasingly moving toward the Smartphone model, and that I might as well go ahead and try the Smartphone route myself.

I must say I am”falling in love” with this device and have been spending a lot of time using it, to the point that it is a distraction for me right now: it’ll probably be tomorrow before I do any more blog posting because I really want to spend some time getting to know this device better. In time I expect to do some reviews of it.

Now, if Catherine Zeta-Jones would just call me up and thank me for using T-Mobile, my Friday would be complete …

Update: I subsequently bought the T-Mobile Dash and give my initial impressions of it here. Later, I installed the WM6 update for it and give my impressions of the upgrade here.
