Here are some articles that interested me:

  • Chris Leckness of Mobility Site answers the question Droid, iPhone, or HD2 … which would I choose? If you are shopping around for a new smartphone, Chris’ testing and ratings will be useful to you.
  • Dan Cohen of Gear Diary describes Travel Notes : Gear We Actually Use — if you do much travel, you’ll want to check this out for ideas.
  • UX Magazine has a great interview of David Heinemeier Hansson, co-founder of 37signals and developer of the Ruby on Rails programming framework: Less is Better. I am a big fan of the 37signals philosophy of keeping it simple. If you are responsible for software development, or in any way responsible for shaping the choices your customers have, this is valuable reading.

This quote from Steve Rubel via Twitter lines up nicely with DHH’s emphasis on simplicity: Quote from Good to Great: “avoid technology fads and bandwagons, yet become pioneers in the application of carefully selected tech.” Amen. Easier said than done, as many of us are technology enthusiasts, but it is an important quote.
