Amazon Launches End User Gadget Blog

I just learned that Amazon has launched a gadget blog entitled End User.

Although End User is new, I have a hunch that it will become one of the dominant gadget blogs, and that it will have a lot of timely and interesting articles. Amazon is known for its customer focus, and is keen on maintaining its credibility in this industry: we should expect that the End User bloggers will keep that in mind.

You might be wondering why the world needs another gadget blog. Maybe we don’t: gosh knows we may have too many already. Same with GTD blogs … it seems like everybody and their brother has a blog giving advice on implementing GTD.

I have to assume that Bezos and team asked themselves such questions, and decided that they have something different to offer. So, let’s keep our eyes on it and see if they do.

By the way, I asked myself such questions before setting up Keener Living:

  • I felt that I might be able to make a contribution to the world by speaking from my many years of professional experience on what works and what doesn’t. My intent has been to give you a mature and practical view on managing your time and life and on using technology wisely.
  • And, I also decided that I would occasionally try to help you see things in a different way, because I believe that is a great to learn, and I believe all of us, regardless of age, should learn something new nearly every day.
  • I realized that, even if I am just another voice in the wilderness, all voices are important. Hence, even though I knew “the competition” is so great that my voice might be heard by only a few, I still felt it worthwhile to try to share my thoughts so that at a least a few people might be helped from my perspective.
  • My view is that the best way to learn is to teach: hence, in trying to teach life management principles, I hope to better learn them myself. Plus, I get to learn from your comments.

There have been lots of times when I failed to live up to my objectives for this blog. Hopefully, continued practice will make me stay more on target.
