A Thought-Provoker to Start Your Week

This post is intended to get you to think about something that could be very important to you. It won’t apply to all of you, but it will to some, perhaps many.

My question to start your week is: What do you love about productivity?

  • Do you love being productive?
    OR
  • Do you love the idea of being productive?

To see what I mean by the second bullet: Have you been subscribed to a dozen GTD blogs for a year, and still feel that GTD is not really working for you? Love reading about it, though, huh?

Here’s a hint: drop the blogs and try something else. Go to a 7 Habits seminar, or search through Harvard Business Review for articles on time management. Then, after trying out something different, you may very well come back to GTD with a fresh mind and find that it works well for you. Maybe signing up for GTD Connect is something you should consider.

My hunch is that, if you feel like you are not being productive enough, it’s not because you don’t know how. I’m suspecting something else is going on. If that shoe fits, then this is a good week for you to wrestle with the issue and to get on with being productive.
