I thought this would be a great way to start the week: getting familiar with, or reacquainted with, David Allen’s key GTD techniques.
In the video below, David Allen does his usual fantastic job of describing how GTD can help you navigate through this insanely crazy, too busy world. The video is from a presentation he gave to Google employees a couple of years.
- Note: If you do not have time to view it today, you can always bookmark it for later viewing (or just listening). If you want to bookmark it on Del.ic.ious, which is my preferred bookmarking tool, just click here.
This is a great summary of the key Getting Things Done techniques, and can be used as either an introduction or a review. Sometimes I just enjoy listening to David talk GTD: he is so enthusiastic and also speaks with great clarity.
I assume most of you are familiar with GTD and have read the book. If you haven’t read the book, you can get it here from Amazon. If you are overworked and always have too much to do, and things are not slowing down for you, this is a good book for you.
The video is about 45 minutes long and is the first of a two-part set. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the second part of the set. If you find it, let me know! But, this first part can certainly stand alone in its ability to help you get your mind and life squared away.

I’ve watched the video myself, twice, and I second your recommendation. It’s highly valuable on a number of levels.
Hi Bill. Thanks for the thumbs-up on this. I found it to be very useful. Inspiring actually.
