I love to see people use their talents. The world would be a much better place if more people recognized their talents and put them to use.
It just makes me feel good when I see someone putting their talents to use, and Jerry Reed does so about as well as anybody in the world. He is an extraordinarily creative and talented guitarist and song writer. He inspires me.
This morning I Twittered the following:
Whenever I am in the car, I crank up the iPod volume and listen to his fairly recent recording of Foggy Bottom. Just as creative and masterful as any tune he did 20 or 30 years ago. Fantastic guitar picker. The best.
Anywho, I just came across a YouTube video of a performance by Jerry, done some 31 years ago. I thought I’d share it with you. Fantastic little video. He has been an enormous influence on me, and on countless other guitar pickers, too. Thanks Jerry!

I’m glad to see some Jerry Reed fans !! Jerry has been my idol guitar player (other than my dad) all my life. I love the man he IS a genius. God Bless Jerry Reed.
