Interviews of the Time Management Kings

Bob Walsh of Web Worker Daily has a two part interview with David Allen: part 1, part 2. Interesting to me that, at the end of the second interview, David says

So it’s almost like the simpler and the faster you can make simple lists and access them, the better. Whatever any applications do that support that, I go “that’s great,” but quite frankly it’s hard to beat just paper and pencil. [emphasis = mine]

Leo Babauta has an interesting interview with Dr. Stephen Covey.

All three links are quick reads.

I am coming to the conclusion that David is right regarding the value of pen and paper for managing lists, be that a task list, a project list, or a set of goals. I also agree with Dr. Covey that pure GTD is a bit too simplistic for most lives, and qualify that by saying that I believe it does not adequately address the handling of priorities and the direction-setting of life. But, put Covey’s and Allen’s techniques together, and you’ll have some fine techniques for managing whatever life throws your way.
