I thought I killed my Twitter account a couple of weeks ago, at the same time I killed my FaceBook account.
But, I kept bookmarks to my Twitter and FaceBook accounts, to check on them later, and lo-and-behold: the Twitter account is still fully activated. The FaceBook account did get deleted, but my Twitter account seems to want to live forever. So, what the heck … I decided to go ahead and add updates to it, occasionally, and to add my “latest tweet” back to this blog’s sidebar (front page only). As long as the latest tweet does not slow down the loading of the blog pages, I will keep it in place. If I notice it slowing anything down, though, I’ll remove it from the sidebar. Let me know if the blog ever loads slowly for you.
