VMware Fusion has come out of beta and is now at version 1.0.
I love this application. As I mentioned when I first tried VMware Fusion, it has eliminated my difficulties with syncing my Pocket PC and Smartphone and Palm to both Mac and Windows. Now I can just sync them all to Windows, which is easy, and do it while working from my iMac. I just keep VMware Fusion running Windows while I am on the Mac and can easily switch between a Mac app and whatever Windows apps I want. I can even copy and paste text from a Mac app to a Windows app, and vice versa. Slick.
The released version seems a tad faster than the beta, but other than that I am not up to speed on all of its new niceties. Here’s a screenshot of it running on my iMac:

I am told that, with enough RAM, you can use VMware to run Windows and Ubuntu simultaneously on your Mac. I have 2GB RAM on my iMac, and I suspect that is enough, but I have not tried loading Ubuntu on it yet. (I have Ubuntu on my laptop but have not done much with it in a month or so.)
