University material on your iPod

April 20, 2007

In an earlier post we noted that Stanford University has put some of its lectures and other materials on iTunes, so that you can download the material to your iPod for free.

Turns out that there are a lot of universities that make some of their material available for your iPod. For example, this morning I listened to some of the material from the Harvard Business Review IdeaCast. This material includes interviews with authors of popular business books, among other interesting material.

What other neat uses do you have for your iPod?

Incidentally, in a later post (or series of posts) I will discuss the value of being an “information junkie.” Several leadership books I’ve read drill in on the fact that the most effective leaders have a voracious appetite for information. This agrees with my observations of the most effective leaders I have known. To me this is something for everyone to be interested in because we are all leaders, of ourselves if of nobody else.
