Listen to University Courses on Your iPod

April 5, 2007

Stanford University is offering some faculty lectures and interviews, among other material, through its Stanford On iTunes U.

This is really neat and a great way to learn some material from top-notch professors. I’ve downloaded and have begun listening to Prof. Leonard Susskind’s seminar on Quantum Entanglement. Fascinating material from the father of string theory.

My understanding is that other universities are also doing this, although I haven’t checked any out. Any of you using your iPod in education or business activities?

I have found the Stanford podcasts to be a great supplement to my studies. It's good to have a slightly different (but relevant) perspective to my own lecturers, and it's brilliant to be able to learn whilst doing something else; I frequently listen to them whilst doing housework!
