Within the next couple of days, I plan to begin a series of posts on PDA project management software. At present, I plan to review three or all of the following products:
- Shadow Plan (Palm, Windows, and Mac)
- ListPro (Palm, Pocket PC, and Windows)
- Pocket Plan (Pocket PC and Windows)
- Bonsai (Palm and Windows)
If you have thoughts on other software, please let me know in the comments. Note that I plan to this as a series of posts that will likely span over a week or two (in other words, there may be posts in between these). Also, in time I may add other software to the list and to the series.
Also, if I can ever get my act together in syncing between Outlook on my XP Pro system, iCal on my iMac, my Pocket PCs, and my Palm, I will do a writeup on it. I was interested in Marc Orchant’s post today on how he gets all of his calendars on his various devices synced, using Google Calendar as the glue (so to speak). I bought the Outlook sync tool he recommended and it seems to work decent in syncing with Google Calendar, but I’m not set up just right to make the iCal part work. (I have about 15 different calendars in iCal, and, if I understand Marc right, I have to set up an equal number of Google Calendars … sounds like more of a pain in the butt than it may be worth for me.) Anyway, it’s an area of interest, and frustration, for me at present. If I get a satisfactory solution, I’ll post on it. If you have suggestions, I’d be very glad to hear them.
